Important: By commissioning my services, you automatically accept the following terms and conditions and commit to their compliance.

Pricing, Usage, and Order Placement

Private Customers

The prices listed above are exclusively for private customers and are intended only for personal, non-commercial use.

Commercial Inquiries

Customers seeking illustrations for commercial purposes (e.g., book illustrations, web design, mascots, etc.) should contact me with a precise description or ideally, a visual reference:info@jenny-design.com. This allows me to create a customized quote tailored exactly to your needs.

General Notes

Capacity: I only accept two commissions per month, as my main professional focus is my manga project. This ensures I can dedicate the best possible care and detail to your illustration.
Scope of Delivery: You exclusively acquire the digital file in the respective specified dimensions, not the printed artwork.
Pricing: I reserve the right to increase the price if a very detailed drawing is requested. However, this will always be transparently discussed with you beforehand.
Order Confirmation: Please do not send payment before I have accepted your commission. Always wait for my confirmation and instructions.
Acceptance: I reserve the right to decline commissions if I am fully booked or if I do not feel inspired for the requested execution.
Art Style: I do not draw in any other style. Please refer to the example images provided with the offers to get an accurate idea of what your individual drawing will ultimately look like.

Payment Terms

Payment Method: I exclusively accept bank transfers or PayPal.
Currency: Prices are stated in Euros (€). Please use a currency converter if you wish to know the price in your local currency.
Invoice: After we have reached an agreement, I will send you an invoice with the account details. The final price on your invoice applies to every payment method. There are no differing fees for PayPal or bank transfers.
Payment Deadline: To secure your commission slot (limit: 2 commissions per month), payment must be received within five days of invoicing. Otherwise, the slot will be released.

Refunds

Before Start (100%): A 100% refund of the payment is only possible as long as I have not yet started the sketch.
After Sketch Start (50%): Once I have begun the sketching phase (i.e., the character draft), I can still refund 50% of the payment.
Coloring Phase (0%): Once the line art and coloring phase is reached (i.e., the illustration has been primed), no refunds are possible.

Process and Revision Rounds

1. Initial Sketch Phase

Preparation: All details and wishes regarding your illustration will be clarified and documented during the quote phase.
Start of Work: I work exclusively with prepayment. After payment is received, I will begin with a rough digital sketch and send it to you in low resolution for approval.
Revisions: In this phase, you are allowed one-time to request changes, which I will implement or integrate into the sketch prepared for you.
Additional Fee: Further revisions or changes cost € 10.00 each per change.

2. Rough Color Scheme

Outlines and Color: After the sketch is approved, I will send you the outlines together with the preliminary color scheme. At this point, no elaborate details or shading have been incorporated; the primary goal is to determine the base colors.
Second Revision Round: In this phase, you are allowed one-time to request a change to the color scheme. I will then send the correction back to you for a brief review.
Final Approval: After this final approval of the color scheme, I will not make any further color changes.

3. Completion and Delivery

Completion: After the color scheme is approved, I will complete your illustration and apply my signature.
Delivery Format: I will send you the finished commission via email as a JPG or PNG file (PNG for transparent areas). Important: You will not receive working files (like PSD or CLIP) with individual layers.
Data Backup: I do not make backups for you! Please make sure to save the file on your computer and/or external storage media.

Copyright and Usage Rights

Artist's Rights

As the artist, I retain all copyrights to the created illustration. This entitles me to freely use the illustration.

However, you, as the client, remain the owner of your character and will always be credited with your specified name or alias. Upon your request, anonymity is also possible.

The following uses of the illustration are permitted to me, whereby the crediting of the client as the character owner is standardly considered for all the following points:

Self-Promotion and Portfolio: Posting, displaying, and using the illustration everywhere for my self-promotion.
Streaming and Work-in-Progress: Showing the creation of the commissioned work on my social media channels, website, or in Twitch streams.
Monetization: Offering digital files on platforms like Patreon or Gumroad.
Publication: Publishing the illustration in books or other printed media.

The work will, in all cases, be labeled as a "Commission".

Client's Rights

As the client, you are permitted to:

Publication: Post the illustration on other sites, under the condition of proper attribution of my social media name and/or homepage.
Private Use/Merchandise: Print the image and produce merchandise, provided this is exclusively for your personal use and not for sale.
Profile Display: Use the illustration as a profile picture, avatar, or decoration for your profile on social media (e.g., Instagram, X, WhatsApp, etc.).

Not Permitted (Restricted Use)

You are NOT permitted to:

Editing: Modify or edit my illustrations.
Commercial Reproduction: Commercially reproduce the copyrighted work (i.e., making money with it in any way).
Authorship: Claim authorship for the artwork.
Signature: Remove my signature.
